A Classically trained violinist, Emily's love for Jazz and World music brought her to studying with many notable jazz violinists such as Jason Anick (USA), Federico Nathan (Metropole Orkest) (ND/ESP) and Sara Caswell (USA), Emily has focussed her violin performance on the many styles of Jazz including Gypsy Jazz, Bebop, Swing, Western Swing, and has explored world styles such as Indian music, Middle Eastern Arabic/Turkish, Flamenco, Brazilian Choro and Forró and South American music ranging from Venezuelan to Afro-Cuban. She aims to inspire and encourage more string players to learn the art of improvisation, and to explore other styles of string playing outside Western Art/Classical.

Whilst studying at Berklee Valencia Campus (Spain), Emily formed her Jazz Fusion band, where their inaugural performance was held at the "Lago de Conciertos" at the Ciudad de Artes y Sciences in the heart of Valencia. She wrote and recorded her first Fusion composition, "Inertia", at the Ann Kreis Scoring Stage and continued to compose more pieces for her quintet in the Jazz Fusion style. She has since performed her works with her band at the David Friend Recital Hall (Boston, MA), Oliver Colvin Recital Hall (Boston, MA), Ellington Jazz Club (Perth, AUS), The Duke of George (Perth, AUS) and Lyric's Underground (Perth, AUS) 

As a jazz violinist, she has also performed with many jazz artists and bands. She was part of Jazz Composer Billy Childs' Residence Ensemble at Berklee College of Music, and regularly performs with the band "Sassafras" featuring Pedal Steel Guitarist Lucky Oceans in Perth, Australia. As a world music violinist, she has played with Brazilian Choro musicians Marcio Marinho, Gileno Santana and Henrique Neto, successfully auditioned for Cirque du Soleil, and has performed as a soloist with Venezuelan Cuatro player Miguel Siso.

Emily has an extensive career of performing as a violinist for/with many notable artists of all genres spanning from Film Music, Jazz, Video Game Music, Pop, Rock, Flamenco/World Styles and Classical. For 3 years at Berklee College of Music, she was the Concertmaster and Strings Contractor for the "Signature Series" concerts at Berklee Performance Centre, delivering up to 10 shows a year. She earned the Rose Family Scholarship Award for her work on these productions.  Currently working at Perth Symphony Orchestra as Music Librarian and Artistic Planning assistant, she regularly performs with the Orchestra and will embark on their month-long regional tour in 2022 as Principal 2nd Violin.
